I was born in a small village in Palakkad, Kerala, but consider Calcutta my home because that is where I grew up.  It was here that I first dreamt of becoming a photographer. My source of inspiration was a family friend who was a function photographer (sadly he is no more), but nature had something else for me in store. In the next couple of years after finishing college in Chennai, I found myself sitting in a cubicle writing software programs for a product company.

 The idea of becoming a photographer has dimmed significantly.

 A few years later I had a chance to go and work in the US. It was then that I had my first chance of seeing through an SLR and slowly I was back to chasing my dream. The chase is on now even after a decade, and I am sure that I will see a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel soon.
